When I turned 30, I took my first trip to Asia… and ended up moving there! That leap into the unknown changed everything for me.
I became a “yes” person. I even coined the term Yesplorer — a bold adventurer who approaches life with an enthusiastic “YES!” and I found that I want to be in a wold surrounded by other Yesplorers.
Over the years, I’ve filled my days with making quilts and textile art, exploring new places, and discovering all the ways a little curiosity can turn a moment into a memory.
I love taking people along on these journeys, because seeing Taiwan through someone else’s eyes is pure magic. My husband and I gutted and remodeled a 1975 pull-behind Winnebago, transforming it into a cozy creative space where I can quilt and craft to my heart’s content. This mug looks right at home in our camper—perfect for slow mornings and creative breaks. It's lightweight, durable and multifunctional. Use it for your favorite beverage or a hot meal, and attach it to your bag for easy access on a hike.

Hygge (hoo-gah) embodies the Scandinavian spirit of coziness, simplicity, and togetherness. Inspired by my heritage, this braided design reflects the beauty of strands woven intentionally side by side — each strip joining the next to create something stronger and more meaningful as a whole.
Use a favorite 2½" strip roll or gather your treasured ¼-yard cuts, pair them with a calming background, and settle into the slow, steady rhythm of braiding your quilt together, stitch by stitch. This is not a rushed make, but a mindful one — meant to be savored as the braid gradually unfolds beneath your hands.
Unlike traditional braid patterns finished with straight borders, this design features a distinctive zigzag edge that echoes the movement of the braid itself, adding a dynamic, modern finish.

About the Designer:
Lilly is a 19-year-old emerging quilt pattern designer currently pursuing a double major in Mathematics and Business Administration. With a lifelong love of color and texture, she has always been drawn to thoughtful combinations—spending her early years carefully planning outfits, mixing stripes with polka dots, and exploring every possible color pairing.
At 15, Lilly began working at her local quilt shop, where her passion for quilting quickly took root. She made her first quilt at 16 and soon discovered a love for adapting and refining patterns to better reflect her own creative vision.
Today, between classes and coursework, Lilly finds calm in designing quilt tops on graph paper, using colored pencils to bring her ideas to life. The Hygge Braid Quilt marks her very first published pattern—a meaningful beginning to what promises to be a beautiful design journey.
